Joint DOD and DOA Estimation of Bistatic MIMO Radar for Coprime Array Based on Array Elements Interpolation

This paper proposes a method to address the problem of joint direction departure (DOD) and arrival (DOA) estimation with augmented coprime array (CPA) bistatic multiple input output (MIMO) radar using interpolating sensors. At first, we deduce regular pattern hole positions in virtual interpolate small number sensors CPA form partially contiguous array. Then, use diversity smoothing algorithm reconstruct Toeplitz matrix obtain spatial matrix. Finally, combine RD-MUSIC estimate spectrum achieve automatic matching DODs DOAs for targets. Simulation results clearly illustrate superiority method.
